Mary Margaret Treanor passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015 in Worland, Wyoming.
She was born on April 8, 1925 in Glen Ulllin, North Dakota, one of 9 children born to John and Minnie (Emter) Hertz.
When Mary was a young girl they moved to Bridger, Montana where she received her early education, then moved to Billings, Montana where she continued her education. During high school she met her future husband, John Treanor. John entered the military to serve his country in WWII. While on leave on January 10, 1945 they were married at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Billings, MT.
Then John and Mary relocated to Santa Anna, California where she was privileged to be a stay at home Mom. In late February of 1948 they came to Wyoming, first to Greybull then to Worland in 1952. She was employed by Town & Country Motel for many years and was also a sales clerk for the Anthony's Clothing store.
Mary was an active and very devoted Christian at St. Mary's Magdalen Catholic Church where she participated in many activities including CCW. She also helped at the Hospital Auxiliary Gift Shop for many years.
Mary's hobbies included sewing, cooking, which she was fabulous at, especially her cinnamon rolls, they were the best! She also enjoyed going to yard sales traveling with John around the country to visit family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John, sisters, Ann Kapptie, Rose Fitterer and Lee Glush, Betty Smith; brothers, Adam, Frank, Ralph and Jake Hertz, and her daughter, Jonetta Sutherland.
Survivors include three children, Mel (Patty) Treanor, Mark (Kathy) Treanor, all of Worland and Marianne (Wayne) Reaves of Cody; 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchild.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Saturday, December 5th, 2015 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church with Father Ray Rodriguez officiating. Rosary/Prayer Vigil will be held at 7pm on Friday, December 4th 2015.
