LARAMIE — The University of Wyoming Board of Trustees has identified three finalists for the university presidency and scheduled public appearances on campus for each beginning Monday, Dec. 7.
The candidates are Jeremy Haefner, senior vice president for academic affairs and provost at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Henrietta, N.Y .; Duane Nellis, president of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas; and Laurie Nichols, provost and executive vice president for academic affairs at South Dakota State University in Brookings, S.D.
Duane Nellis will be meeting with faculty students and staff on Monday. Following those meetings there will be an open forum.
Nichols will have the same meetings on Wednesday and Haefner will have meetings in Laramie on Monday, Dec. 14.

Each candidate will interview with the Board of Trustees at 5 p.m. on each of the three days at the Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center, followed by informal evening receptions and dinner with the trustees and other invited guests. The interviews will take place in executive sessions of the board.
During their visits to campus, the finalists also will meet with UW’s Executive Council, deans and directors, among other activities.
