Terri Logan awarded All-State School Board inclusion

WORLAND –Washakie County School District No. 1 Clerk Terri Logan of Worland was named to the 2015 All-State Wyoming School Board by the Wyoming School Board Association (WSBA) at a special meeting in November. According to the WSBA, the award is given to school board members who exemplify strong leadership and board service. Nominations are submitted by each district, and the Wyoming Association of School Administrators selects five finalists from more than 300 nominees.

A 10-year veteran board member of Washakie County District No. 1, Logan has represented Wyoming at National School Board Association conferences in San Diego, New Orleans, and Boston, in addition to attending the annual state conference. “It really gives you chance to learn from other districts,” said Logan.

The state and national conferences feature workshops and lesson plans to better help district board members meet their budgetary and scholastic improvement goals, at the same time learning governmental policy, curriculum changes, and current trends among educators.

District No. 1 board members Susan Sherman and Don Bryant have received the award in the past. The National School Board Association conference will be held in Boston in 2016, with a delegation from Wyoming attending.
