Elaine J. (Hampton) Andrews, 95, of Cheyenne died January 18, 2016 at Davis Hospice Center.

She was born September 28, 1920 in Worland, WY to Cyrus and Nellie Hampton. Elaine served in the Army of the United States and was stationed at Fort Warren in Cheyenne from 1944-1946. She was educated as a dental technician in the military and after her discharge, worked for Dr. Joseph Devine Sr. in Cheyenne. Elaine met Eddie P. Andrews on a blind date at the Cheyenne Riding Club and they were married on November 18, 1950 in Cheyenne at the First Congregational Church. She was a member of the First Congregational Church and a lifetime member of Oak leaf Chapter #6, Order of Eastern Star.

She is survived by her daughters, Eleanor (Stuart) Grinnell of Cheyenne and Violet (Louis) Andrews-Scotti of Denver; grandchildren, Scott (Sarah) Grinnell, Christine (Adam) Grant, Margaret (Karson) James, Vincent Scotti, Anthony Scotti and Samantha Scotti; great-grandchildren, Denna and Kaylin Grinnell and Abigail James.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and twelve siblings – Violet Walters, Ina Wessel, Iva Hirsig, Carl Hampton, Kemper Hampton, Cyrus Hampton, Vira Viola Hampton, Clinton (Nick) Hampton, Eleanor Palmer, Milford (Bud) Hampton, Irene Metcalf, and Ruth MacAulay.

Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home with a reception to follow in the Schrader Reception Center. Interment of her urn will be in Beth El Cemetery.
