First lecture focuses on acupuncture
WORLAND – The Washakie Hospital Auxiliary is changing their meeting format this year. The meetings will not have a workshop after, but instead will be having a “brown bag lecture” in which both members and the public are welcome to attend.
“Effective in 2016, our meetings will begin at 10:45 a.m. in the Washakie Room at the community center (Worland Community Center Complex). There will be no workshop following the meeting,” Washakie Hospital Auxiliary President Mary L. Minish said.
The Washakie Hospital Auxiliary will be sponsoring, along with the Business and Professional Women’s organization, a “brown bag lecture” following the meeting. Each month different topics will be covered by different people. The first meeting Jan. 26 will feature Dr. Sara Radabaugh.
“Dr. Sara Radabaugh will be talking to us about acupuncture for pain relief and all other applications of this treatment. If you want to know more about acupuncture, this is a good time to get your questions answered,” Minish said.
The lecture is called a “brown bag lecture” as everyone attending needs to bring a lunch as food will not be provided. “All attendees should bring their own lunch. There is a pop machine in the hallway of the community center if you wish to get water or pop,” Minish said.
The lecture is open to the public and there is no charge. “The public is invited to attend these lectures and I hope you all will come to enjoy this new opportunity to learn more about our community and the services and people available to us,” Minish said.
