Town of Burlington declares unlicensed cats a nuisance

WORLAND - The town of Burlington, in the hopes of controlling the feral cat population, has created an ordinance which requires all cats within the town to be licensed and vaccinated for rabies by Feb. 1.

According to the ordinance, “There is a problem with feral and unlicensed cats in the town of Burlington, thus leading to nuisances and health hazards.”

The town is offering a free licensing day....
