Ardis Joanne Muench

Ardis Joanne Muench, 69, of Worland, Wyoming died Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Washakie Medical Center.

Ardis was born to Arland and Vivian (Hilson) Borgen on September 14, 1946. Ardis grew up in Wolford, N.D. where she was involved in her high school cheerleading squad. At one of those games she met her husband, Michael Julson. They married in Leads, N.D. not long after high school and later moved to Devils Lake, ND. They then moved to Riverdale to operate a grocery store that was the only business in town. After some time they moved to Wyoming where Michael went to work for Lystads Pest Control. Mike and Ardis were married 16 years. They had four children together.

Ardis was a bookkeeper for many different businesses in the community. She worked for Davis Lumber Company up until her retirement. Ardis later married Ray Muench on March 6, 1981 in Worland.

Ardis enjoyed camping with her children and grandkids up in the Big Horn Mountains. She also enjoyed reading books, watching football and being with all of her grandkids.

Ardis is survived by her son, David (Jody) Julson of Worland, her daughters, Renae (Steve) of Farson, Wy, Kim (Butch) Kebler of Worland, and Susan (Allen) Bethke of Gillette, Wy. Her brothers, Eldon Borgen and Kevin Borgen, both of Rugby ND. Her sisters, Bonnie Johnson of Rolette, ND, Arlene Johnson and Carol Braaten, both of Rugby, ND. Ardis is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

An evening viewing for family and friends will be Monday, February 15 at 6 p.m. at the Veile funeral home. A celebration of Ardis' life will be held Tuesday, February 16 at 10 a.m. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church.

Burial will be at Riverview Memorial Cemetery in Worland, Wyoming. The family asks that all memorials be to the American Heart Association, in care of Veile Mortuary, PO Box 349, Worland, WY 82401.
