Golden anniversary for Anthonys

WORLAND — Gary and Jane Anthony of Worland will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this Saturday.

The couple was wed April 23, 1966, in Salt Lake City, Utah. They have two children, Jason Anthony and Elizabeth A. Jolley.

Jane Anthony said when they were first married, because of Gary’s apprenticeship as an electrical lineman, they moved a lot. Gary worked on power lines in Utah, Idaho and Montana.

“In 1979 we moved to Wyoming. We started out in Casper and then moved to Worland,” Jane said.

Gary Anthony worked for Pacific Power for five years and then the couple purchased the Culligan Water business, which they ran for nearly 30 years.

Now retired, the couple enjoys outdoor activities including boating and fishing.
