Conservation District encourages stewardship with poster contest

WORLAND — The Washakie County Conservation District encourages you to think about your personal responsibility to be a good steward of the natural resources, including the roles trees play in our resources, in response to its annual Stewardship Week celebration.

The National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD) proclaimed April 24 to May 1 as Stewardship Week with the theme “We All Need Trees.”

According to WCCC Director Victoria Dietz, the Washakie County Conservation District is celebrating Soil and Water Stewardship Week again this year by asking Washakie County fifth and second graders to participate in the annual poster contest.

“These posters remind us all of the importance of natural resources in our lives. The winning posters will be on display from April 25 to May 8 at the Washakie Wear building in downtown Worland,” Dietz said.
