Vera Jean “Sugar” LeMaster Renner, 94, of Meeteetse, passed away at her home on May 30, 2016.
Sug was born February 16, 1922, to William Arlan and Virginia Adeline Morris LeMaster in Midwest, Wyoming. She attended school in Midwest until her 4th grade when she moved with her parents to Burlington, Wyoming where she graduated from Burlington High School.
On August 2, 1941, she married Everett Nielsen Renner who preceded her in death on March 28, 1999.
Everett and Sugar resided on the family farm in Burlington where they raised their 3 daughters, Yvonne Renner, Ginger Taylor, and Janet Renner, until they moved to Meeteetse, Wyoming, in 1990 due to Everett’s health. Sugar remained in her home in Meeteetse until the time of her death.
Sugar is survived by her sister Marie Hodson of Buffalo, Wyoming; daughters Yvonne Renner and Ginger Taylor (Dan); grandchildren Lisa and Greg Glenn; Lori Gaukel; Dustin and Tonya Taylor; and 3 great grandchildren Chase, Allysa and Dasyn Taylor; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Everett in 1999; her daughter Janet Renner; Father William Arlan LeMaster; Mother Virginia Adeline Allen; Step-father Irving Benjamin Allen; 2 brothers; several sister and brothers in law.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Meeteetse’s National Day of the American Cowboy celebration held annually. Donations can be made c/o Meeteetse Visitor Center; P.O. Box 238; Meeteetse, WY 82433.
