Belen Lucero

Belen Fabela Lucero, 70, a lifelong Worland resident passed away peacefully at her home on July 5th with her family by her side.

Belen was born in Worland on September 23, 1945 to Carmen (Ramos) and John Anthony "Tony" Fabela. She attended Worland schools.

Belen met and later married Dan Lucero on April 18, 1975 in Worland, and the couple made their home in Worland. Belen worked at Washakie Memorial Hospital for a short time.

She loved to do crafts, bake, and can foods. She loved her family and going to California with Dan in the winters. She was an avid Denver Bronco's fan, and liked to listen to Elvis Presley and lots of Christian music.

She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Dan in 2007, by her infant daughter, by her sister Rose Fabela and her brother John Fabela Jr. and by a stepson Steve Lucero.

Belen is survived by her sisters Toni Munoz and Mary Dickson and her brother Sal (Jenny) Fabela all of Worland; by her niece Jessica Fabela who was just like a daughter to Belen; by her step sisters Mary Mercado and Polly Leyva of Worland and Janet Wilkinson of Idaho. She is also survived by her stepsons Michael Lucero of Las Vegas, Nevada and Greg (Lesley) Horner of Bend, Oregon and; and by numerous nieces and nephews,

A prayer service will be held on Thursday evening at 7:00PM at Victory Christian Center, and her funeral service will be held on Friday, July 8th at 2:00PM at Victory Christian Center.

Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Worland.
