Local cowboys and cowgirls compete in Washakie County Fair rodeos Friday

WORLAND - Current and future rodeo stars gathered at the Washakie County Fairgrounds Friday to compete in the Washakie County Fair rodeo and junior rodeo.

Friday morning the up and coming stars of rodeo were the first to show off their skills. Mutton bustin', barrel racing, goat tying, stick horse racing and other events made up the junior rodeo.

After all was said and done Wyatt Bolken (Boys 16-13), MaKayla Fulfer (Girls 16-13), Marie Bliss (Girls 12-10), Dylan Casdorph (Boys 12-10), Mesa Allen (Girls 9-6) and Daniel Casdorph (Boys 9-6) were the overall champions in their respective age groups.

Friday night the older more experienced cowboys and cowgirls took to the fairgrounds and entertained the crowd with their skillsets. Andy Mumm (bareback riding), Myron Casdorph (calf roping), Chris Williams (saddle bronc), Amy Strickland (barrel racing) and Bob Herman and Jordan Herman (team roping) won their respective events during the competition.
