WHS swimming makes a strong showing at Terry Bartlett Invite

CODY - The Worland High School girls swimming team went against other 3A rivals and 4A Sheridan and showed what they were made of Friday afternoon at the Terry Bartlett Invite in Cody.

As a team the Lady Warriors placed fourth against the tough field of Sheridan, Cody, Buffalo, Douglas and Powell. WHS swimming coach Mike Blissett was proud of his team's outing Friday afternoon. "I thought they swam well," said coach Blissett. "We had some tough competition today and it's only the beginning of the season. The way the girls have been working we're going to keep getting better and our times will come down, so I think it is looking really good for us."

On Friday the Lady Warriors will host Newcastle, Buffalo and Powell at the Worland Aquatic Center for the 2016 Warrior Quad. "With the holiday weekend it's going to make it a short week of practice," coach Blissett said, adding, "But they're going to be well rested and I know they are excited to swim in front of family and friends."
