Bonnie Lou Lawrence died September 9th, 2016 in Sheridan, WY following a lengthy illness. She was born on May 4th, 1959 in Buffalo, WY to Orin and Jean (Tyrrell) Lawrence. Her father unexpectedly passed away when she was 19 months old. She spent her younger childhood in Buffalo with her five older siblings and her mother. Her mother later remarried and the family moved to Worland where she graduated from high school in 1977. During high school she was involved in 4-H, track, and softball.
She entered the Army in June, 1977. While in the service, she was stationed at Ft. Stewart, Georgia. She was honorably discharged in 1981. She returned to Wyoming where she went to work for Union Oil in Worland. She moved to Seattle in 1984 where she worked as a security guard for a large department store. She returned to Cody, Wyoming to be near family in 2001.
In her younger years, she enjoyed riding horses with her family. Bonnie was an avid reader, and she loved cats, fishing, and a good joke. She never married and did not have children so she had a special bond with her 14 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents Orin Lawrence and Jean Taylor and her sister, Rogene Stathos. She is survived by her brothers Ray (Judy) Lawrence of Powell, Dennis Lawrence of Cody, Mike (Brenda) Lawrence of Post Falls, ID and her sister, Anita (Dale) Carver of Worland; nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and the family is planning a private memorial service at a later date.
