Examining the Bronze

Roxie Shepperd, Carole Grosch and Vasca Gilmore examine the bronze sculpture "Effort and Desire" that includes a turning globe. The piece and many others are from artist Chris Navarro and is on display at the Washakie Museum. An opening reception was held Thursday night. Navarro has made about 300 sculptures and 30 monuments including the mammoth in front of the museum. Navarro became interested in bronze sculpture after viewing an exhibit of Harry Jackson's.
