Banged up Pioneers lose to Huskies

TEN SLEEP - After last week's game in St. Stephens in which Ten Sleep had to call due to numerous injuries. The Pioneers had to not only regroup quickly but also develop Wolverine, of the X-Men, like healing powers in time for the Burlington Huskies.

Thankfully the Pioneers were able to play the game without injury, unfortunately the Huskies were too much for the banged up squad, as they beat Ten Sleep by a score of 62-8.

Ten Sleep football coach Jake Zent recognized his team was banged up but did not want that to be an excuse for the team's loss. "We did not play well," said coach Zent, "Burlington is a good team and we had guys hurt but there are things we need to clean up. Things that we will work on in practice this week."

The Pioneers will be back in action Friday as they travel to Farson for a 2 p.m. matchup against the Farson-Eden Pronghorns.
