Virginia Eleanor Hernandez, 59, of Worland, Wyoming passed away October 26, 2016 at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming.
She was born on July 13, 1957 in Toppenish, Washington, a daughter of Polly (Torres) and San Juan Hernandez.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking, crafting, dancing, and listening to music. She also enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and going to the casino. She was known as the card shark of the family. She loved taking care of others. She loved attending and supporting all of her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews games and concerts.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents San Juan Hernandez and Polly Torres; by her sisters Monica Gomez, Mary Hernandez, and Elizabeth Hernandez; and by four brother-in-laws.
Virginia was the devoted mother of her three daughters Amanda (Jose) Hernandez, Cindy (Manuel) Rodriguez, and Cassie (Ricardo) Rodriguez all of Worland, Wyoming. She is survived by her brothers Jimmy (Joyce) Hernandez of Worland, Wyoming, Jesse (Shelly) Hernandez of Worland, Wyoming, Lupe (Sharon) Hernandez of Idaho, George (DJ) Hernandez of Greybull, Wyoming, Raymond Hernandez of Colorado, Frankie Hernandez of Utah, Johnny (Suzzanna) Hernandez of Boulder, Wyoming; her sisters Rosemary Moore of Worland, Wyoming, Sally Garcia of Basin, Wyoming, Bella (Victor) Mendoza of Utah, and Paula (Richard) Urioste of Washington.
Virginia was a loving and caring grandmother to her 10 grandchildren: Alex, Maria, Eliz, Araceli, Mikaela, Azalea, Mateo, Ricardo, Roberto, and Xiomara. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and godchildren.
Her memorial service will be celebrated on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 11:00am in the Chapel at Veile Mortuary. Interment of the cremains will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Worland.
