Shirley (Cox) Love Towers, 72, passed away on November 15, 2016 after battling a very rare and aggressive cancer.
Shirley was born May 22, 1944 in Pasco, Washington to Walter E. and Florence (Amsberry) Cox. The family moved to Thermopolis when Shirley was 5 years old.
March 4, 1962, Shirley and Wendell Love were married. To this union 2 children were born. Opie Love and Marsha (Love) Rankin. Wendell passed away in 2001. In 2004 Shirley and Charlie Towers became friends and in 2010 they were married. Together they loved to travel, fish and be with friends. Shirley was very talented at making beautiful things and making things beautiful. She just had “the touch”.
Preceding her in death were her father and mother and her husband of 39 years, Wendell.
Survivors include her husband Charles Towers, her son, Opie (Holly) Love, Daughter, Marsha Rankin of Casper; brother, Kenneth Cox of Bertrand, Nebraska, 4 granddaughters, 4 grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
Shirley will be greatly missed by all those who loved her. She was a beautiful spirit with a heart of Gold. Everything that Shirley touched she made beautiful. We rest assured in knowing that God has a special place in Heaven for Shirley.
