Turkey Bowl

The first annual West Side Elementary Turkey Bowl was held Friday during physical education classes. Students in grades first through fifth who volunteered to get pledges (either specific amount or per pin) participated in the turkey bowl using a frozen turkey as the ball. Each student bowled one frame and Principal Bruce Miller marked the number of pins on their pledge sheets. Each student raising at least $35 receives a turkey, a T-shirt and provides a turkey to the Worland Food Bank. Additional funds raised will be used to purchase turkeys for the food bank holiday baskets. Above, Ava Tapia, Thomas Nelson and Karys Bennett react after Nelson bowled a strike.
