James Albert Day

James Albert Day, 77 of Worland, Wyoming passed away January 10, 2017 at Billings Clinic from complications of COPD. Jim was born August 16, 1939, to William and Cora Day in Cut Bank, Montana.

Oil was always part of his life. His dad worked for B&P and they lived on the lease in Cut Bank. He moved to Worland in 1957 his senior year and worked for Dale Weaver. In 1962 he married Carol Woodhams and they moved to California in 1963. While in California he worked with CPS, West States Petroleum, Santa Fe Energy and retired from Vintage Petroleum. He spent most of those years in the Sespe oil field above Fillmore, California. James always said Sespe was his baby. After retirement in 2005, Jim and Carol moved back to Worland, Wyoming.

Jim is survived by his wife Carol, children; Tamera, Shellie, Jimmy (Janelle) and Lee. His grandchildren Samantha (Brian), Colby, Tucker, Tyler and Gavin. His great-grandchildren Brynlee and Brielle. Also his sister Mary Ann (Marv) Himlin and brother Rick (Barbara) Day and numerous family and friends. He will also be dearly missed by his dog Sofie.

He was definitely a father figure for many in the family. Children loved him, in Fillmore he was "Doctor Jimbo" because all the kids on the block would come to him to pull their teeth.

In keeping with the wishes of Jim, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service.
