Longtime Worland resident Dixie Dee (Dellos) Coggins, 70, passed away peacefully in her home on January 14, 2017.
Dixie was born October 12, 1946 in Worland, Wyoming. She was the daughter of Jacob & Lena (Baker) Dellos. She grew up on the family ranch on the Gooseberry. She attended the one room Bain School House until sixth grade. She later graduated from Worland High School in 1964. Shortly after graduating she married Raymond Coggins on June 3rd. Her biggest joy in life was her children and grandchildren.
Some of her favorite hobbies were barrel racing, participating in rodeos, being the Ten Sleep Rodeo Queen and being a member of the Washakie Riders Club. She helped organize team roping at their Coggins arena. She enjoyed watching her daughter barrel race and her husband and son team rope. She also never went a day without working. She worked as a beet truck driver and for the Worland Western Supply for many years. Later she worked for Ben Franklin, Pamida and Kennedy Ace Hardware.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jacob & Lena Dellos and her sister Pearl Jane.
She is survived by her husband Raymond, brother Gary Dellos (Babs Runnalls), daughter Bobbie (Dave) Ehrmantraut, son Shawn (Teresa) Coggins, grandchildren Becky Dorr (Joe Martinez), Laci Mitchell, Brittany Dorr (AJ Torres), Jerad Coggins (Elizabeth Crawford), Sawyer Coggins (Sami Marshall), Cheyenne Coggins, Morgan (Alec) Vines, Amelia May, Michael (Kylie) Dodd, Christian Paulson and great grandchildren Jacob Sackett, Aiden Martinez, Kabre Miller, Heston Mitchell, Nico Paulson and Vaeyda Dodd, nephews Alan and Steven Fulfer, nieces Kim Johnsey and Cynthia Szabo.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations for the celebration of life can be made at Security State Bank.
