Georgia St. Clair

On February 15, 2017, Georgia Forbes Gray St. Clair was reunited for eternity with her husband, her parents and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Georgia was born Marjorie Frost on May 13, 1927. Soon after birth Marjorie Frost was adopted and renamed Georgia Forbes Gray by loving parents, Dr. W. O. Gray and Mary Forbes Gray, a blessing for which she was forever grateful. Dr. & Mrs. Gray raised Georgia and her two brothers in a very strict but loving hospital home, where she lived at the time of her death.

Georgia was educated in Worland, and then graduated Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri with an Associate of Arts degree. Georgia married Kenneth Lee St. Clair on her father's 70th birthday, September 2, 1948, and in rapid order four children were born to them: Kenneth II, Marygray, Doc and Roger.

Georgia's and Kenny's 58-year marriage was spent farming in Worland, owning and operating the Worland Livestock Auction, ranching at Lost Cabin and finally returning to Worland where they lived out their lives in the home where Georgia had been raised. While raising her children, Georgia was actively involved as a Sunday school teacher, 4-H leader, American Cancer Crusader and Farm Bureau Board Member. More recently Georgia found joy as a volunteer at St. Alban's Episcopal Church, Born Again Clothing and the Washakie Museum and Cultural Center. Georgia's work outside her home was with REA, Wyoming Agriculture and the Washakie Museum.

Georgia and Kenny were actively involved in St. Alban's Episcopal Church, and they worked tirelessly to bring the Washakie Museum and Cultural Center to fruition. Georgia's love of the community where her life began and ended was evident in nearly every conversation, and therefore she was an excellent source of Worland history.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her in-laws Frank and Rosa St. Clair and her brothers Richard and John. Georgia is remembered as a loving, kind and generous Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother to children: Kenneth II (Carol), Marygray (Christian) Jensen, Doc (Starla) and Roger (Linda); grandchildren: Patrick (Chris) St. Clair, Michael (Sherra) St. Clair, Jeffrey (Brianna) St. Clair, Christianna (Bruce) Ward, Georgia Beth (Jeremy) Larsen, Summer (Adam) Haayer, Seth (Ashley) St. Clair, Stone St. Clair, and Cedar (Cody) Wright, as well as 18 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service to celebrate Georgia's life will be held Friday, February 24th at 10:30 AM at St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Worland, with Father Ed Farmer officiating, assisted by Georgia's niece, Rev. Melinda St. Clair. A private family inurnment will occur at a later date. Online condolences may be made at http://www.bryantfuneralhomeonline.com.

Memorials may be made to St. Alban's Episcopal Church or the Washakie Museum and Cultural Center in care of Bryant Funeral Home, PO Box 524, Worland WY 82401.
