Geraldine Marie Bostrom

Surrounded by family, Geraldine Marie Bostrom went home to the Lord on February 21, 2017. Geraldine "Jeri" was born in Hays, Kansas on February 23, 1946. She graduated from Great Bend High School and attended college at Fort Hays State University. She received her degree in education and taught for over 25 years in Catholic and public elementary schools both in St. Louis, MO and Worland, WY. She was passionate about her craft and was a natural in educating and motivating students of all ages. Jeri's second career began after she received her insurance agent license and later joined her husband, David, as the Vice President of Operations at MBA of Wyoming. Jeri was active in the local community and state, serving on numerous boards, most recently the Washakie Museum and Cultural Center.

Jeri's infectious personality and artful gift for conversation were among the many traits that she shared with others. The consummate extrovert with a rare creative intellect, she was ever-attuned to the needs of others. Jeri loved entertaining family and guests, reading, travel, playing cards, golf, and spoiling her 7 grandchildren.

Jeri is survived by her mother Mildred Ross, of Wichita, KS, husband David, and sons Preston, Paul (Jessica), and Brian (Bethany) as well as two brothers, a sister, and their respective spouses, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence "Pete" Ross.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, February 27, at 10:30am at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 1099 Charles Ave, Worland, WY. A reception will immediately follow at the Washakie Museum and Cultural Center, 2200 Big Horn Ave, Worland, WY. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Washakie Museum and Cultural Center Programs and Operations Reserve. Arrangements have been entrusted to Veile Mortuary.
