Sally Bridwell

Sally Bridwell was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 5, 2017. Geneva Louise Bridwell died of natural causes at Worland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by family. Sally was 90 years old and was born in Konawa, Oklahoma November 6, 1926 to James R. and Ruby Duck. During her school years, Sally was active in marching band and later attended East Central College in Ada, Oklahoma.

She married the love of her life, Forest Ward Bridwell, on April 13, 1946 in Ada, Oklahoma. In 1958 the family moved to Worland and joined the First Southern Baptist Church where she was a dedicated member and active in the choir, WMU, Bible study and numerous church committees. Her loving wisdom and generous spirit was present when friends or family needed a helping hand. Sally was longtime employee of the Washakie County Clerk's Office until her retirement in 2000.

She was a member of PEO, Chapter AA and was also involved in a number of political organizations. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed attending local sporting events, Cheyenne Frontier Days and an occasional Broncos football game.

Sally was preceded in death by her husband, Ward Bridwell, parents, Jim and Ruby Duck, sister, Rinda Myers, in-laws, Minnie and Forest Bridwell, granddaughter, Tracey Ann Bridwell.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheri (David) Jones of Troy, MT, and her son Terry (Chriss) Bridwell of Cheyenne, WY; her loving grandchildren, Lisa Norris and sons, Cooper and Trae of Douglas, WY, Kelly Lyman of Worland, Tera (Clint) Shults and children, Maclaine, Madison, Marryn and Hayden of Meeker, CO, Cody (Amanda) Bridwell and children Colton and Malia of Plano, TX; sister-in-law, Shirley (Cordell) Henry of Panama City, FL, brother-in-law, Gene Myers of Sulphur, OK., numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday April 8, 2017, at the First Southern Baptist Church in Worland. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
