POWELL — The Northwest College Music Department presents “Spring Jazz Night” Tuesday, April 25, with a 7 p.m. performance in the Nelson Performing Arts Center Auditorium.
The concert features a variety of jazz standards as well as contemporary jazz tunes from ensembles led by NWC’s Brennan Baglio and Craig Olson. Groups performing on stage include the Studio Singers, Jazz Band I, Jazz Band II and Vocal Jazz II.
“The Studio Singers have been working really hard on a great variety of tunes,” Baglio said. “Inspired by hearing some incredible groups on their spring tour, this group of students has really dug into some great repertoire. Vocal Jazz II has been working on some original music by some of its members, and I’m sure audience members will love hearing this original tune as well as some great standards.”
McKensi Smith of Worland will be among the students performing. Other area student performers include Bralter Stewart of Thermopolis and Logan Maurer of Meeteetse.
