A memorial service commemorating the life of Clayton John Fulfer will be held today at 10:30 a.m. at the Bryant Funeral home. Fulfer, 58, died last week at his home south of Worland.
He was born in Thermopolis July 26, 1958 to Patricia June White Fulfer and J. C. "Lefty" Fulfer, Jr., the youngest of three children. In the early years of Clay's life, the family lived on ranches in Washakie and Hot Springs counties. After high school in Worland, Clay worked in a variety of areas, including oil rigs, heavy machinery, construction and archaeology. He married Melinda Sperry and they made their home in Worland and Florida while together. After Clay married Debbie Muse, the couple enjoyed many happy years together, acquiring a new home on Highway 20 South. She died in 2011. Clay married Angie Brunko in 2015. Besides his second wife Debbie, Clay was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his wife and her children, Steve, Stetson, Bonnie and Catherine Brunko; his mother, Patricia Fulfer of Kingston, Okla.; a brother Calvin (Sally) Fulfer and a sister, Karla Fulfer (Milton Evans) of Cozumel, Mexico. Survivors also include Clay's nephew Guy (Rachel) of Aspen, Colo.; nephew Alex Fulfer Ward (Rachael Croft) of London, England, and a niece, Andrea Fulfer Ward, of Kingston, Okla.
