Harley Dell Myers

Beloved Father and Papa, Harley D. Myers passed away peacefully on October 12, 2017 in Worland, Wyoming surrounded by his family.

He was born January 15, 1934 in Burlington, Wyoming to Winfield Scott and Hazel Enid (Hodson) Myers. He is now reunited with his loving wife of 54 years Lavon(Williams) Myers whom he married in 1956.

Harley was a true cowboy at heart; in his younger years as a ranch hand, he rode with his father on many cattle drives, broke horses, branded cattle, and was an accomplished team roper later in life. Harley worked hard his entire life and learned the oil business from the ground up, holding many positions culminating in a leadership and management role with Baker Oil Tools where he proudly served over 25 years.

He will always be remembered as a friendly, charming man, who enjoyed poetry and western novels and always displayed a quick wit and a sharp sense of humor. In his retirement, Harley enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, playing golf, reading, rooting for his Denver Broncos, and spending time with friends over an early morning cup of coffee or a game of gin rummy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Harry and Harriett Allen, sisters, Wilma Renner, Dorothy Skeen and Vivian Boynton.

He is survived by his two children, Wade (Donna) Myers of Worland and Sheri (John) Wharton of Albuquerque, NM, grandchildren: Nicole Jacques (Noah Smith), Sheena (Josh) Tilley, Kacie (Buddy) Damiano, Johnathan (Jennifer) Wharton, Michelle (Matt) Coulter and 9 great-grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Burlington Cemetery in the Spring of 2018. Online condolences may be made at http://www.bryantfuneralhomeonline.com. Bryant Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
