Tritchler returns to Banner Health Clinic

WORLAND — Banner Health Clinic in Worland welcomes back provider Joseph Tritchler, PA-C.

Tritchler, a family medicine physician assistant, started seeing patients Oct. 16. He specializes in comprehensive health care for all ages including prevention. He works with each patient individually to teach him or her about making healthy lifestyle choices.

He first started with Banner Health Clinic in February 2016 and left in March 2017.

“Helping my patients enhance their health and wellness is my personal goal,” said Tritchler. “It’s the biggest reason I returned to Worland – to be a part of the team going above and beyond to provide such personalized care to patients in our community.”

Tritchler has been practicing since 1994. He attended Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa, and is In an interview with the Northern Wyoming Daily News in 2016, Tritchler said, his work is not on just taking care of people when they are sick but also helping people prevent getting sick in the first place. “My emphasis is not just taking care of illnesses but prevention. Helping people develop a healthier way of living in the hope of preventing some of the illnesses that people develop. The idea is to get people to think, ‘What can I do to prevent a major illness’ instead of just reacting to a major illness. One of the things that I try to stress as I am talking to a patient is that we need to also talk about what we can do to get you a healthier lifestyle and what kinds of things we should do to prevent illnesses from occurring,” Tritchler said.

Going to your doctor before your sick is an important part of preventing illness in Tritchler’s eyes. “I try to get people to think about visits to their provider, not because they need a prescription refilled or they have the flu or a cold, but to come in for a health maintenance checkup,” he said.

Board Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. He was recognized in 1998 as the National Health Service Corps Physician Assistant of the Year.

In his spare time, Tritchler enjoys traveling, researching his ancestry and spending time with his wife and their retired greyhounds.
