Janis Wilkinson

Janis Wilkinson, 76, died September 20, 2017 at Davis Hospice Center, in Cheyenne, WY.

Jan was born in Worland, May 12, 1941, to Carl and Mary Ann Guggenheim. She was the second of three daughters. She attended school in Worland and graduated from high school with the class of 1959.

She married Jim Jibben and had two sons, Jamie and Jared. They later divorced. Jan then married JT Wilkinson, her best friend and soul mate. Together they raised her two sons and JT’s four children, Julie, Brad, Bart, and Beth in Lander, WY. They later moved to Prescott, AZ, and finally to Cheyenne, WY. There were always beloved cats and dogs in her life.

Jan’s favorite jobs were as a journalist/photographer for the Wyoming State Journal in Lander, and International Advisor for students from all over the world attending Yavapai Community College in Prescott, and as the activities director at Pointe Frontier in Cheyenne.

Jan always met life with enthusiasm and joy, she had a mischievous smile that captivated everyone she met. Jane will be missed by her many friends and loved ones.

Jan was preceeded in death by her parents, her older sister, Caroline Ondo, and her stepchildren Bart, and Beth Wilkinson. Jan is survived by her husband, JT, her sons Jamie and Jared (Ha) Jibben and her stepchildren Brad and Julie Wilkinson. She is also survived by her sister Vicky Nelson, seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Services pending.
