Sharon Kay Gallinger passed away on October 26, 2017 at the Douglas Care Center in Douglas, WY.
Sharon was born on May 18, 1941 in Omaha, Nebraska to Donald and Charlotte Syas.
She married Hilmar “Rusty” Roessing and together they had two sons and a daughter. They later divorced, and she married James J. Gallinger. This union brought another daughter into the family.
Sharon was well known for being a crossing guard at Eastside Elementary School and later on for being teacher’s aide in the Worland school district. She also worked for Hedge Music.
After retiring, she lived many places before settling down in Douglas, WY.
Sharon’s greatest joys were her children and grandchildren as well as her dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister Ruth Cole, and beloved son Michael Roessing.
She is survived by her son Martin Roessing of Flagstaff, Arizona, her daughters Cindy Alley of Gillette, WY, and Shannon Gallinger of Killeen, Texas, her brother Gary Harvey (Terry) of Worland, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
A service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, November 3, 2017 at Grace Lutheran Church.
