Long time Worland resident, Mary Hamilton, passed away November 27, 2017. Mary was born February 3, 1925 in Bath, England. During WW II, she met Rex Hamilton and they married on April 6, 1945. Following the war she joined Rex in America and they moved to Worland.
Mary was an active member of the community. She taught ballet for many years and performed in several theater productions. Mary was a leader in both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, involved with Community Concerts, and an active member first of the United Methodist Church and then of the Zion Evangelical Church. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, needlework, reading, gardening, and traveling.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Rex, and her sister, Joan. Left to cherish her memory are her brother Peter (Janet) Radford - Keynsham, England: her children;
David (Charleen) Hamilton - Worland, Debbie (Alan) Lane - Loveland, CO, and Mark (Joni) Hamilton
- Thermopolis; grandchildren: Leslie (Joseph) Graham - Ruidoso, NM, Ryan Hamilton - Worland, Patrick (Nicole) Lane - Denver, CO, Heather (Brian) Loeb - Loveland, CO, Marcy Hamilton - Plano, TX, and Shannon (Chris) Chandler - Fayetteville, NC; and great-grandchildren; Riker, Josie, Mackenzie, and Savannah Graham, Josiah and Nicholas Hamilton, and Wyatt and Grace Loeb.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Mary's life will be held on December 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Zion Evangelical Church in Worland. The family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Worland Senior Center. Veile Mortuary is entrusted with arrangements.
