Dr. Sameh Abuerreish, triple certified in oncology, hematology and internal medicine is joining the Banner Health team around April and after a two-week orientation, will start seeing patients. Banner Health Medical Practice Manager Anna Venable stated that many community members will recognize Abuerreish as he has worked for the Billings outreach clinic.
Dr. Geoff Kraemer, a podiatrist from Kansas, is also scheduled to join the Banner Health team around April and after a two-week orientation, will start seeing patients.
Venable also told the board that starting Jan. 2, wellness Wednesday will become wellness every day. Community members will be able to access, without an appointment, the wellness lab panel from 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, instead of just Wednesdays.
Wyoming grant sought to subsidize Cheyenne air service
CHEYENNE (AP) — Officials in Wyoming’s largest city will apply for a grant to subsidize air service.
The Cheyenne Airport Board voted unanimously Thursday to seek a $580,000 state grant. The money would help lure a new airline to the airport.
A new terminal and other work at the Cheyenne airport are scheduled for completion sometime in 2018. The projects will cost $18 million.
Cheyenne-based Great Lakes Airline is providing one flight a week from Cheyenne to Denver, down from eight flights it used to make.
The Wyoming Tribune-Eagle reports airport officials are negotiating with two airlines. Possible destinations include Las Vegas, Dallas and Phoenix.
A $1.4 million guaranteed revenue grant approved in 2010 for American Eagle was used up in its first year in Cheyenne. The airline withdrew from Cheyenne in 2012.
