Herbert Hugh Neufer,

76, of Worland, passed away January 17, 2018 at Washakie Memorial Hospital. The son of Herbert and Valeta (Paulson) Neufer, he was born December 4, 1941 in Belvidere, Illinois.

He married Lynda Benson on April 6, 1963 in Belvidere. They moved out west to Worland in 1968. The couple later divorced in 1977.

In December 1978, he married Judie Matlock and from this union Herb adopted Mike and Todd on January 30, 1981. Herb and Judie later divorced in 1990.

On September 22, 2001 Herb married Carol Sharp and gained a stepson, Matthew Sharp.

Herb enjoyed hunting and shooting his guns. You could find him just about any time at the Worland Shooting Complex. He spent many hours reloading bullets and building different guns. His all-time favorite thing to do was calling and hunting coyotes.

Herb worked for the City of Worland for many years. After he retired from the city he went to work in the summers for Washakie County.

Herb was loved and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Herb is survived by his wife Carol of Worland, sons Mike (Holly) Neufer of Worland, Todd of Rock Springs, Stepson Matt Sharp of Worland, sisters Carole (Neufer) Zimmer, Janice (Neufer) Nelson, and many grandkids and great grandkids. Herb is proceeded in death by his parents, his sisters Beverly Porter, Audrey Bender and Delphine Estelle Voss.

A memorial service will be held 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
