United Blood Services is a nonprofit community bloodcenter, providing blood and blood products for local area hospitals throughout the United States.
They are needing O negative blood donors this time, according to organizer Judy Council.
Volunteer blood donors must be at least 16 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. Donors who are 16 (and, in some cases, 17) must have signed permission from a parent or guardian, according to the UBS website, unitedbloodservices.org.
