According to climate data from the National Weather Service, Worland, at the municipal airport, received .42 inches of moisture on Wednesday, breaking the old record of .35 set in 1962.
For the month, Worland has received .63 inches of moisture, up from the average of .41. The climate record is from 1947 to 2018. Despite the record moisture Wednesday, Worland is still down from last year’s precipitation of .74 inches.
For the year, Worland has received .95 inches, up from the average of .83 inches, but down from last year, in which Worland received 1.14 inches over the same timeframe. These figures do not include the rain and snow mix that fell on Thursday.
Records were also set in Riverton with .21 inches received, beating an old record from 2007. Data is for a 22-year period. Riverton also received record rain and snowfall on Monday. The record rain was .29 inches, and the snowfall was 4.7 inches.
