Herbert Laroy Walker, 52-year-old Worland resident, passed away June 27, 2018 at his residence after a battle of long extended illnesses.
Herb was born on May 14, 1966, the oldest son of Rodney Thomas and Della Belle (Stewart) Walker. He spent his early childhood in the Manderson-Hyattville area, moving to Ten Sleep in 1976. Following his graduation from Ten Sleep High School in 1984, Herb worked as a volunteer firefighter for the Ten Sleep Fire Department for 26 years. He also drove truck for Halliburton, Schwan's and Sweetheart Bread Company. He drove truck for Lungren Farms during the harvest for 29 years.
Herb enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a self-proclaimed rock hound. He would hunt for rocks that he could polish and make into jewelry to sell at local craft shows.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his brothers, Troy Walker and Marty (Amanda) Walker of Rock Springs, nieces, Kelsie Chandler, Renae Walker; Kyleigh, Jadyn and Harper Walker; his special companion, Dotty Smith and her son Seth Bingham all off Worland and life-long friend, Doug Berens of Gillette.
Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 2 at the Bryant Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will follow in the Ten Sleep Cemetery.
