BREAKING NEWS: Last victim recovered in Bighorn Lake boating accident

LAST VICTIM RECOVERED

Fort Smith, MT – The body of Christian Scoville, age 35, from Billings, MT, has been recovered. All accident victims have been accounted for and recovery efforts have been completed.

Late Friday, August 17, Potable Divers, using the underwater remote operated vehicle (ROV), located Mr. Scoville. The body of Mr. Scoville was turned over to the Big Horn County Coroner Terry Bullis.

With the ceasing of recovery efforts, the lake closure has been lifted.

On Saturday night, August 11, 2018, Big Horn County Montana Sherriff department received a 911 call from an off-duty deputy advising of a boating accident near Dayboard 7 with a sunken vessel and two individuals in the water. National Park Service and Big Horn Country deputies responded. They located Robert Ludwich, of Billings, MT, on the shoreline. The patient was transferred by boat to Ok-A-Beh and transported by Help Flight to St. Vincent Healthcare.

Rangers stayed on the scene through the night. Search resumed August 12, 2018 in the morning. The body of Tammy Scoville of Billings, MT was recovered from the water.

The body of Nathan Kelley age 36 from Billings, MT, was recovered Wednesday August 15, Potable Divers using the underwater remote operated vehicle (ROV) located the vessel and Mr. Kelley.
