Fraser earns second all-national honors

WORLAND – November of last year Caleb Fraser was given the opportunity to go to the All-National Honor Ensembles as first chair bassoon in the orchestra.

This year, Fraser's talents proved not to waver as he was chosen once again to be a part of the All-National Honor Ensemble symphonic orchestra.

Fraser is a junior at Worland High School and is self-taught in eight different instruments. It's a part of Fraser's goal to attend All-Nationals all three years possible through his high school career, and all four years of all-state. He was chosen for nationals after being first chair bassoon in All-State Orchestra.

Students interested audition their freshman, sophomore and junior year so they can get in the year after they audition.

This year, nationals will be Nov. 25-28 and will take place in Orlando, Florida, once again. Aside from Fraser, there has been a participant chosen for choir and one for band to sponsor Wyoming.

National Orchestra is made up of over 50 talented students from all over the country, including instruments such as bassoon, violin, bass, the harp and more. The ensembles are to showcase and represent the top performing high school students throughout the country.

Fraser plans to double major in music and pre-med after graduating high school as part of the class of 2020, and is excited to see what musical road lies ahead of him.
