William Thomas Dillinger

William Thomas Dillinger, 95, of Commerce, TX, died on Sunday, September 16, 2018. Tom was born on April 19, 1923 on a farm outside Commerce, Texas to his parents, William Dillinger and Iva Venus Dillinger. A funeral was held at Commerce Church of Christ on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 with David Gibson officiating. Interment took place at Rosemound Cemetery.

In January of 1943, Tom entered the U.S. Army. Serving in the Pacific Theater, his troop was one of the first to occupy Tokyo. After being honorably discharged in December of 1945, he attended Harding College to start his bachelor's degree. After a time, God called him to finish his degree at Intermountain Bible College in Grand Junction, CO.

In 1973, he accepted a position as minister at Worland Christian Church in Worland, WY. Tom later started Dillinger Homes in Worland. He loved fixing up houses, building and selling. He enjoyed interacting with people and his positive outlook and sense of humor will truly be missed by all.

Tom is survived by his son, Thomas Dillinger (Deb), of Colorado Springs, CO, daughter, Brenda Carothers (Daniel), of Lexington, KY, son, Bill Dillinger (Karla), of Lexington, KY and son, David Dillinger (Laura), of Colorado Springs, CO; 16 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; sisters, Ruth (Herchel), Jean (George), and Katie Ellen.

He was preceded in death by his step-father, Marvin

Watterson and his mother, Iva Watterson.

Services entrusted to Commerce Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Commerce, TX.
