Worland vs. Wheatland, Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Casper Events Center
The Worland Warriors qualified for the 3A State boys basketball tournament being held in Casper Thursday through Saturday.
The Warriors beat the Lovell Bulldogs 56-49 in the 3A West regional loser-out game to advance to the third-place game against the Pinedale Wranglers.
In the third-place game, the Warriors ran away with it, defeating the Wranglers 73-40 to clinch the No. 3-seed out of the West.
At state, Worland goes up against the Wheatland Bulldogs at the Casper Events Center at 7:30 p.m. The Bulldogs are the No. 2-seed out of the East after making a surprising run to the 3A East regional championship.
The other 3A State tournament quarterfinal games are as follows, all games are at the Casper Events Center.
No. 2W Powell vs. No. 3E Torrington at 12 p.m
No. 1E Buffalo vs. No. 4W Pinedale at 1:30 p.m.
No. 1W Lander vs. No. 4E Newcastle at 9 p.m.
