TEN SLEEP – Ten Sleep FFA students received awards for a year well done, during their annual Ten Sleep FFA awards banquet on Monday, May 6.
The teams that competed at state FFA; high school and middle school livestock and meats, vet science, ag mechanics, job interview, agriscience and public speaking were recognized.
Ten Sleep School FFA advisor Michelle Arnett stated that she felt that each team had a great year.
Anna Watson, Kinley Anderson and Josie Decker received gold in agriscience and have the chance to represent Ten Sleep in the nationals.
The rest of the awards are as follows:
— The Star Greenhand award was received by Elizabeth Bleicher.
— The Star Chapter Farmer was received by Brian Rice.
— The Top Hand awards were received by Elektra Shoopman, Josie Decker, Brian Shoopman, Payton Casteel, Anna Watson and Brayden Fettig.
— The Discovery Degree awards were received by Walker Cooper, Kinley Anderson, Ian Turgeon, and Josie Decker.
— The Greenhand awards went to Brian Shoopman, Elizabeth Bleicher and Asher Lyman.
— The Chapter Degree awards were received by Anna Watson, Brian Rice, Aidan Searfoss, Sky Taylor, Elizabeth Lungren, Daniel Favier and Payton Casteel.
Also during the awards banquet was a labor auction, where FFA members were auctioned off to community members to help with jobs around the community and home. A total of $1,870 was raised from the auction.
