THERMOPOLIS — The first, in what hopes to be an annual tradition, Hot City Outdoor Alliance Outdoor Day is set to take place on Saturday, June 8 at Hot Springs State Park in Thermopolis from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Outdoor Day was organized to help those who want to take advantage of the many outdoor recreation activities in the area to learn the necessary skills to enjoy those activities.
The event is for adults and youth, ages 12 and up and cost $30, which includes lunch and a t-shirt.
There are two groups each with four different lessons. In Group A the focus will be rock climbing, mountain Biking, canoeing and fly fishing; those in Group B will learn horse packing, bear awareness, 3-D archery and GPS use.
All equipment is provided but if you have your own you are welcomed to bring it.
