Betty Chapman

Betty joined the Lord and family in heaven on June 25, 2019. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m., Monday, July 1, 2019 at the Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Worland.

Betty was born in Lander, Wyoming on October 13, 1933 to Ted and Goldie Graham. She was raised on the Graham Ranch on the Sweetwater River near Jeffrey City.

During the school year, herself, brothers Jim and Tom lived in Lander with their mother. This is where, up the street, she met the love of her life, Raymond Chapman. Betty graduated from Lander Valley High School in 1952. After graduation she attended nursing school at Denver Children's Hospital for 3 years, graduating in 1955.

Betty and Ray were married on June 14, 1955 in Lander. They moved to Laramie for Ray to finish college. In May 1957 they moved to Worland, where they resided and raised their family. She was a loving wife and mother, staying at home to raise their 3 children.

Betty was a member of the United Methodist Church in Worland. She was a member of P.E.O. She became a member of Chapter Q, Lander in 1952, then transferring to Chapter AA, Worland, where she served as Chapter President.

Betty is preceded in death by her daughter Janet Thompson, brothers Jim and Tom Graham and several other relatives.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years Raymond, daughter Sharon (Robert) Holloway of Guernsey, Wy, son David (Jill) Chapman of Sioux Falls, S. D., son in-law Gary Thompson of Worland. Grandchildren Tara (John) Busch, Dawn (Cordell) McCracken, Keith Holloway, Miranda Chapman, Paige (Mitch) Schuster. Great Grandchildren- Isaac, Kiley, Connor, Koby and Keegan.
