Serving the Big Horn Basin for over 100 years
WORLAND — The Worland Business Events Committee will have one of three Worland Hot Spot Saturday Markets this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The market, which features craft and commercial vendors, food and games, will be at 413 Big Horn Avenue, the former True Value building.
Committee member Deb Larkins, said with the farmers market ending in September, the committee wanted to give vendors and customers a chance to do some shopping in October, November and December. She said they selected the Saturday before the holidays for each of the months for the market, which gives vendors an opportunity for sales, and customers chance to do some shopping before the holidays.
In addition to vendors there will be a kids korner to keep the children active while parents shop with activities, games and crafts. There is a small fee for the games with proceeds going to the Worland Braves and Warrior Wrestling organizations. There will also be donation jars for those wanting to help out the wrestling clubs.
Larkins said each month they will help out other youth organizations raise funds.
Children attending this month’s market are encouraged to come in Halloween costume and will have a chance to participate in the fall/winter style show.
The style show is an opportunity for residents to see that there are places to shop for children’s clothing as well as adult clothing, Larkins said.
The style show that begins at 12:30 p.m. will feature fashions from Worland businesses. Children dressed in costume will be asked to escort models.
A summer style show was held at Pioneer Square earlier this year.
