Bernedene Corbett Robertson, 74, passed away peacefully at her home in Worland on January 8, 2020, with her loving husband by her side. Bernedene, was born November 6, 1945, in Worland, Wyoming to Lawerence Joseph and Zelda (Sessions) Corbett. Bernie spent her childhood working on the family farm and playing with her rambunctious older brothers. After attending school at the University of Kansas, Bernie returned to her beloved Wyoming where she met and eventually married Rickey Chad Robertson in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, on September 21, 1973. Bernie worked for the U.S. Forest Service for many years, where she enjoyed not only the opportunity to explore the Bighorn mountains, but to travel the United States. Bernie served as a member of the Washakie County Visitor's Council, and also in various positions in her church throughout the course of her life.
Bernedene was preceded in death by two children, her parents and her three brothers. She is survived by her husband Rick, son Chad Robertson (Vicki) of Boise, Idaho; daughter Shelia Robertson (Andrea) of Boise, Idaho; daughter Tonjia Garcia (Albert) of Aurora, Colorado; daughter Deanara Robertson of Bozeman, Montana; grandchildren Nichole, Renae, Kelsie, ChristyAnn, Dale, Jessie, Aidan, Maddie, Corbett, Bridger, and Sebastiaan; and five great-grandchildren.
Bernedene was passionate about Wyoming and the Bighorns. She often took her family for picnics in the badlands and camping in the mountains. She loved wildlife, flowers, gardening, and tending her beautiful yard. She enjoyed geocaching and the friends she made attending and hosting events. Bernie was a vivacious personality who cared deeply about the people in her life. Bernie was an active volunteer with Meals on Wheels and served as a missionary for her church. She adored her grandchildren, Jack Russel Terriers, sunflowers, sunshine and warm, Wyoming summers.
