Recycling volunteers needed

Ten Sleep program needs assistance with trailer, Facebook

TEN SLEEP – Ten Sleep’s monthly recycling drive needs help.

Each month for the past several years, a volunteer group in Ten Sleep has loaded up a trailer of that town’s plastics, paperboard, food cans, old newspapers and magazines, and driven it from the Ten Sleep Transfer Station to a recycling center in Buffalo.

As with most volunteer operations, the number of folks who can help may run low with the passage of time. Right now, Ten Sleep has an urgent need for volunteers, according to organizer Megan Truman.

Recycling in Ten Sleep takes place on the first Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon. The next recycling day will be Saturday, March 7.

Whether you can help sort recyclable materials, load the trailer, drive the trailer to Buffalo or even maintain a Facebook page in support of Ten Sleep’s recycling efforts, your help would be appreciated, Truman said.

Anyone interested may contact Truman at 388-9188.
