George Edward Norskog, 72 of Thermopolis passed away March 23, 2020. George was born on June 19, 1947 to Thomas and Lucille (Watkins) Norskog in Cody, Wyoming. The family lived primarily in the Big Horn Basin working on several ranches. George finished the last two years of High School in Thermopolis and graduated with the class of 1965. George enjoyed working on vehicles and racing. After High School he went to California for a short time and then went into the US Army. He served stateside for two years in Lawton, OK. George was married to Annette Arthur for around 10 years. He was then married to Violet Anne Paddock for 36 years and had four children to that union, Thomas, Charles, Kelly and Kenneth. He was active in law enforcement for much of his working years in Wyoming. In 1984 the family moved to Olympia, Washington. Violet and George worked at the hospital in Lacy working as a transcriptionist for medical records. After Violet’s death George returned to Wyoming. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Atwood Family Funeral Directors.
