WMC announces employee of year

WORLAND - After having to postpone the Banner Health Washakie Medical Center Employee of the Year celebration for a month they decided to celebrate Thursday, April 9 with a surprise plaque presentation for the employee - Mandy Feather.

In attendance was her family, children Piper and Ridley and husband Jared.

Feather is a multi-modality technician, which means she is able to do several different modalities within the medical imaging department.  She is also the coordinator for the medical imaging department. She has been employed at WMC for eight years.

According to her nomination, "Mandy Feather is a fabulous employee and is so deserving of being recognized for her work. She embodies the Banner values serving as a role model, nurturing a culture of teamwork and positivity across the facility.

"Mandy has taken on many extra responsibilities over the last year showing an eagerness to learn, support the team, and provide the best patient experience when people visit our hospital. She has shown patience, grace, and persistence. Her diligence in ensuring patient medical records are accurate using innovation reflects her strong sense of care for our facility and community.

"Mandy is valued for her expertise and positive approach in handling the many things that pop up day to day, never getting rattled, and always willing to jump in to lend a hand in other departments when they are busy. She is also an active participant on the social committee showing her enthusiasm for celebrating our teams and creating a positive work environment."
