Madelon F. Wetherbee, 90 year old Worland resident passed peacefully on June 16, 2020.
Madelon was born July 13, 1929 in Bridger, Montana to Bill and Dorothy Ryan. She was raised in Bridger and received her education at Bridger public school, graduating in 1947.
On September 4, 1948 Madelon married Neil Wetherbee in Red Lodge, Montana. After living in many Wyoming cities over 34 years Madelon and Neil retired. Neil worked for Mountain Bell Telephone Company for 34 years and Madelon worked in Cheyenne at a clothing store for 15 years. After retiring Madelon and Neil moved to Green Valley, Arizona where they resided for 7 years. Their next move took them to Loveland, Colorado to be closer to family. After 10 years in Loveland they moved to Worland in 1997 again to be closer to family.
Madelon's greatest joy was sharing time with her family. Tole and decorative painting played a great part in her life for many years as well as traveling throughout the United States.
Surviving Madelon are 2 sons, Jerry Wetherbee, John (Julie) Wetherbee and daughter-in-law Jennifer Wetherbee all of Worland. 3 granddaughters Michelle Wetherbee of Yuma, Colorado, Kristin Wetherbee of Sheridan, Wyoming, Jill (Jeff) Anderson of Bend, Oregon and Morgan (Alex) Vines of Bremerton, Washington. 2 great grandsons Isaiah and Kyler Anderson of Bend, Oregon. Brother Bill (Helen) Ryan of Billings, Montana. 3 nephews and 1 niece.
Madelon was preceded in death by husband Neil, son Jim, both parents and Sister Betty Leslie of Bridger, Montana.
A graveside service will be held 11am, July 13, 2020 at Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Worland, Wyoming. Inurnment of both Neil and Madelon Wetherbee will take place. Military Honors by American Legion Post #44 and United States Navy representatives.
