State treasurer to address Lincoln Day Dinner

WORLAND - Wyoming State Treasurer Curt Meier recently confirmed he will be the keynote speaker

for the rescheduled Washakie County GOP Lincoln Day Dinner in Worland.

The annual fundraiser, initially scheduled as the Lincoln Day Dinner on March 27, will now be held on Saturday, July 25.

"It's an honor for me to join the Washakie County Wyoming Republican Party for their annual fundraiser," Meier said. "It's unfortunate that COVID forced the original function to be postponed, but I am looking forward to talking to the fine folks in Worland and the surrounding area."

Meier was sworn in as treasurer of the State of Wyoming on Jan. 7, 2019. Prior to that, he served in the Wyoming State Senate for 24 years. Through his years of service, Meier has established himself as a champion of the Wyoming and U.S. Constitutions, a strong advocate for the rule of law and a gatekeeper for taxpayer dollars.

A graduate of the University of Wyoming, Meier holds a bachelor's degree in Animal Science. He continues to operate his 4,300-acre farm and ranch in his hometown of LaGrange. His wife, Charlene, retired from teaching in May 2019.
